About
us
Eden
Prairie Volunteers connects interested citizens to
volunteer opportunities within the Eden Prairie community. Our
purpose is to promote citizenship and increase community involvement
through enhanced access to community service.
As a result of the Community Involvement Committee’s research,
and a local LCTS grant, a project coordinator and website designer
were hired in March 2002 to spearhead a community volunteer
initiative, resource directory, and website…Eden
Prairie Volunteers!
Who are we? The Eden Prairie Volunteers website
has been created by website designer, Ryan Guldberg. Both Ryan
and Michelle Veith, the Eden Prairie Volunteers Project Coordinator,
are responsible for maintaining the site. Please feel free to
contact them with questions or suggestions via the Contact Us
tab on the home page or via voice mail at 952-975-6869.
The Community Involvement Committee, in conjunction with the
Community Education Advisory Council, oversees the project.
Membership on these committees changes annually. Contact Eden
Prairie Schools Community Education for a current membership
list.
Eden Prairie Volunteers is comprised of community
organizations and community members who wish to make a better
community through volunteerism. Eden Prairie organizations are
invited to submit their volunteer opportunities via this website.
Community members are invited to use this website as a resource
for identifying the multitude of volunteer opportunities that
exist in our own backyard. The search tools of the website allow
you to find the types of volunteer activities that interest
you and match them to your schedule. Together, we can make a
difference!
